I'm a Stehling

Why does our government feel that it’s necessary to punish the people that work hard for a living by making them pay for those that don’t?  The government is trying to tax the American Dream right out of us and by doing so taking away the drive that some people have to make themselves better.   Almost like unions that breed mediocrity our government is setting an arbitrary wealth bar for the nation and trying to balance those that have with those that do not have.

The amazing part of this equation is that most of the folks they want to carry the burden are folks that just want to work hard, make a decent wage and take care of their family.  They don’t want or expect a handout.  They don’t expect Social Security will be around for them and are doing what they can to save for the future.  With what is left they usually give to those that do not have.  These are the most charitable people as they realize there are those that are in need and donate to various charities to make sure people are taken care of… but this is done at their discretion.  Not the other way around as imposed by a out-of-control government.

Mr. Obama, my back will break while trying to carry the burdens that you intend on placing on my shoulders.

In our efforts to make our world color blind we are calling anything that happens between people of different races a racist incident. Could it possibly be that there are some bad people out there that are color blind? I’m not saying that there aren’t problems out there with racism. I’m just saying not every incident is race motivated.

Maybe the past few generations haven’t been perfect. We certainly did our fair share of messing up the world but a lot of good things did happen. The great experiment, the republic of the United States, is destined to fail if we continue to go down the current road. We have a powerful few making laws without reading them. We have people in charge of the nation’s economy that can’t even handle their own finances. We have people in charge that have broken laws but get a hand slap, a get out of jail free card and then a position of influence and power. Something’s really messed up. I hope that the past few generation’s mistakes don’t cause current generations to forget about common sense. Instead of blindly following, we need to think for ourselves and make sure we don’t paint ourselves into a corner that we can’t get out of.
